This was an interesting (and profitable) hand. My hole cards are abysmal, but I was closing the action on every street, and doing some quick math at the time, it seemed like I had odds to call each time. Then the check-raise on the river played itself.

Getting 7:1 preflop, I thought it was a marginal but okay call. Why? Because I miscounted and thought I was getting 9:1. Feel free to rip me a new one for that. Then I had odds to catch a gutshot, so I called the flop. Then I caught a pair, so I had 5 more outs to go along with my gutshot, so I called the turn.

I suck out g000t.
