View Full Version : Prop Program and Ownership

With all the comment/statements on both prop programs and ownership issues regarding online rooms, I make the following statement in regards to Americas Cardroom.

ACR does indeed run a prop program and it is one that we openly advertise, we are also very open in informing any player that wishes to know if they are indeed playing with a prop present and who that prop is.

Our prop program is somewhat different to others and could even be looked at as more of a "frequent player incentive program" than a prop program. Those that wish to be part of our program simply commit to playing a min of 20 hours a week on our site (with there own funds) and each session is to be a min of 2 hours duration - if you meet these requirements then we pay you a bonus of either .8c a game at 2/4 or .16c a game at 4/8 level or above. You are paid the bonus for games played during that week.

Our props always play there own funds, receive no more or less information then any other player on our site and please believe me when I say they are certainly not all winners!

As to ownership we are part owned by CRIS (Costa Rica International Sports) a Sports Book that has been in operation since 1986 (over 15years) and is known in the industry to be one of the most trusted and respected sports books in the world. We are not afraid of calls or indeed visits as we have both our phone numbers and address available on our website.

Up to now we have been focusing far more on the development and completion of our software over and above the marketing and driving of large traffic in to the room. As such at present you will mostly find action from the late afternoons through to the early hours with a lot of low limit action from our ongoing freerolls and middle level action with our sports book players. As we reach the final stages of our development and commence our campaigns you will I'm sure see this improve.

In closing if any of you are planning on coming over to Costa Rica in June for the next very popular Casinos Europa Tournament held here in Costa Rica (June 25th) give me a call when you arrive as its always great to meet up with both our current and prospective players.

Kind regards,

Torstyn Cole

Wow! .8c or .16c per game! That's something like $1-$1.20 every 1 or 2 hours! I'll be rich! Whoopie!!!

Except that at an average or 60 hands and hour online, a 4-8 player could make $9.60 an hour, certainly not something to sneeze at if you are a winning player. If the site can keep games going, this could be a significant incentive to play.

Let me see here... Multiply .16c with 60 hands/hour and we get...wow! $0.096! Strange that they pay 4/8 and higher less than 2/4... I didn't notice this at first...

ACR probably deals closer to 80 hands an hour and if you play shorthanded it can be a couple of hundred or more.At 4-8 you get paid 16$ for every 100 hands played -rake or no rake.Playing full time at ACR and playing mostly shorthanded ,making anywhere from $600-$1000 is not hard to do.That means all you need to do is be able to break even and your making good money. If you can beat the game its just gravy.

So it's more like 16c than .16c then? More like $.16 per hand?

Yes i play there and they are always very upfront about everything. They also run more ways to give away free money than any other site. I have found it to be a great site to play at. I will be there tonight for their free tip board on the (dallas / sac ) game. They are giving away $1200. What a great site!!!!!!!!

I downloaded their software, but rarely see many games going there. Maybe I need to check back in since it has been awhile and see whats going on. I will say, that almost every post about ACR is positive. I'll check it out again soon.
