I was hoping to take it down on the flop, I definitely do not like him smooth calling like that.

Then again his VP$IP is a lowly 49.21....

Why do you want to take it down on the flop? That's about the safest flop you could possibly hope for.

Just call the flop. Either you are way ahead or way behind and there are no draws.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume you meant "low stakes". /images/graemlins/grin.gif
In any case, let's ask ourselves this question: assume that your friend had (mis)played the hand up until this point and now you had to take over. What would you do on the turn? I basically think that there is no hand that you can beat which would smooth-call $20 on that flop so you have to check/fold. But, given the size of the pot, and maybe that guy is completely donkorific, maybe we should throw some blocking bets? Or check/call small bets if he is not very aggressive? My vote goes to check/call. Unless you know the guy is a moron, you have to assume he can beat your hand here to call your big raise.

Well if you didn't know he was a complete monkey before, you sure as heck do now.

I think his PFR is important too. If its really low, you may have reason to worry about him not popping you back with AK. But even still, he has what, $19 left? Put him in. Get shown AJ or AT a lot of the time. Maybe Axs. Sometimes A2, 22. I think youre good more often than not, and even if you werent, the pot size means you have to see a showdown.

edit:my response was before seeing the results. now that i saw the results... *pats self on back*
