"Stealing the Blinds" links to the wrong article.

Schoonmaker's link is dead.

I was able to crack the code:

Stealing the Blinds (http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/current/Rogers0205.html)

Is Poker Socially Useful II (http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/current/Schoonmaker0205.html)

I see it so clearly now. Granny Mae has taken the position that Phil H has at cardplayer.

At first glance this is better than January's effort.

Great 2nd issue /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Barron is a talented writer and I would enjoy more of his articles in future issues.

Mason's article was top notch

I appreciate the compliment. My article for the March edition was accepted by Mason and hopefully you likewise enjoy another write-up of another 2+2 concept "on the edge" of incorporating into your game.

Thanks again for the kind words -- always great to hear someone enjoying what you wrote.

Could you post how you cracked the code. I couldn't do it.
Thanks,
Al

Sure, I dragged my cursor over the link to the articles and noticed that they were all of the form
http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/authorslastname0205.html
that is except the two broken ones (unless your real last name is D.). Tried it with yours and Mr. Rogers and up popped the articles.

I just finished your article, Mr. Barron of Prussian Peerage. Very well done. You kept it simple (something many forget to do), straightforward, meaningful, and with a good action to explanation ratio. Kudos. I look forward to more.

My name's what you get when Hungarian immigrants are allowed to name their offspring without federal overseeing. I guess I could've ended up as George Washington Toth just as easily, so I guess Barron Vangor Toth works.

Thanks also for the compliment -- I'm not the expert at the game that many of the 2+2 writers are (although I aspire to be at some point in my life), so I hope I can provide some relevant information for newer players playing the limits that I play.

I also think people have seen enough posts about raising with AK and then hitting the A and wondering if the move is to bet out or go for the check-raise. We've seen these posts 1,000 times and they're great, but I want to explore stuff more towards the periphery of the game, things touched on briefly by Messrs. Sklasnky, Malmuth, Miller, etc etc.

I get a lot of various casino experience as I have to travel to a lot of conventions for my WWE game so get to check out the action all over to give a different perspective than maybe you're used to seeing.

Regardless: glad you enjoyed it and hopefully you'll likewise enjoy next month's.

a quick suggestion, it'd be nice to be able to see that the februrary magazine was up just from the left sidebar somehow. Something like "Magazine <font color="red">(Feb 05)</font>" indicating what issue was the most current one up. That way you wouldn't have to check THIS particular forum to see if it's up or not.

Just a suggestion...

Hell its Feb the Jan issue was up Dec 27 .What do want a magazine running 4 months ahead of time?

Legian

This issue is considerably better than last in my opinion so well done.

Mason,

I agree with Legian's statement. This month's magazine is better. Thanks again for doing this, and I hope it continues to get better as the competition among writers increases.

Great issue. I was really looking forward to another one of Ed Miller's responses to Jim Brier's cardplayer articles about SSH, but alas no such luck. Perhaps next month.

Ray Zee's article was great.

Hopefully in March we will see one about BEING THE BULLY.

I've enjoyed both issues of the magazine, and believe its quality compares favorably to other poker periodicals.

I would like to see an article on Pineapple -- perhaps on the street-by-street strategic adjustments a hold'em player would need to make to play the game successfully.

Lots of good articles on this one. The work on blinds was very useful.

Any chance we'll see an article about online poker tax reporting in the March issue?

There's an interesting thread going in the 1-table tounaments section right now, but I think a lot of people would like to see more.

Chuck

Hi reecelights:

No. All articles for the March and April issues are already scheduled (unless we decide to expand the magazine).

What I'm doing is as articles are submitted and accepted, they get scheduled for the next available issue. As of this point in time, no one has submitted a tax article.

best wishes,
Mason

This should serve as a very obvious hint for the aspiring 2+2 writers out there.
