Presuming everyone has you covered by about twice to 4x as much. What kind of hands are you waiting to push with, if you had 10xBB? 5xBB?

Or would you try to play the flop?

Would this change depending whether this was a final table, or if there were a long while to go before hitting ITM?

2 high cards, a pocket pair, that sort of thing.

i also would look for hands with a lot of players in. it hurts your chances of winning, but when you do win you have enough chips to be back in it. so when a few people in, whenever your hand has a better winnig chance then average

Yes it depends where you are. If you are at the final table there is a little more value in waiting to get a good hand since moving up even 1 spot can give you a significant increase in payout. If you are a 1000 players from the money, you just need to grow your stack or play in a new tournament.

In addition to pushing with good hands, you also have to think about pushing from good steal positions. If it is folded to you button +1 or +2 with suited connectors and the like, I sometimes push. It is hard for the other stacks to call you (losing 25% of you stack is a big chunk) and if the steal works you get one more orbit to find a hand.
