There is SO much freaking talk on how strong Wisc is..especially at home...this is the ONE game that illinois can definitely lose this year...blah blah blah.


Right now the line is ILL -2 which I think is pretty reasonable.
If the ESPN-chatter helps drive some late action on WISC then I would be more than happy to jump on ILL at -1.5 or so (or just even to get some slightly better juice).


But I still think ILL -2 is pretty reasonable for this game (and this is coming from a WISC fan too).

FWIW I made a small play on Wisconsin taking the money line. The Badgers are for real at home, 38 in a row ain't hay! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

According to Sportsbook.com almost 90% of the money is on Ill. So I don't know if Wisc. bettors are actually driving the line.

90% is just at one book. It is more like 67% if you look at the sites that aggregate across multiple books. Still, it is pretty heavy Illinois. Why? You have a #1 team that has looked great only laying a point for most of the day (and they were available at pk overnight). That will draw heavy action every time.

FWIW, I didn't bet this game because I don't think there is enough of an edge either way.

Well...it has since moved to 2.5 so you're right that the action continues to come in on ILL.


I wish I had gotten in on it when it was PK (or even -1).


At 2.5 I'm thinking about taking WISC actually.

Jumped on the Illinois bandwagon when it was -2. With 40.9 seconds left and Illinois up 9 (they had me scared for a long time there), I'm feeling pretty good about this pick.

Also glad I picked UConn against that fraudulent West Virginia team.
