what is a good kind of suit to get??

I need to get a new one, and would like it to be kind of pimping, although good enough for job interviews. I'm not going to be buying armani or anything but don't mind spending a decent amount of money. I have no clue how much suits cost at all.

How much do they cost? Where do you get them at? Is it best to just go to Macy's or something or do people go to special suit stores in the cities to get them?
