I am planning on taking my wife for a quick two day, one night trip to some place like Tulallip or Muckleshoot, and need advice on routes, attractions etc. My idea is to drive out from Vancouver pretty early on a Saturday, perhaps even having breakfast on the road, then going somewhere like Whidbey Island, then dinner somewhere, and over to a casino that has poker. She will spend the evening playing slots (UGH) and I will play anything up to 10-20. Stay in hotel, breakfast the next day, some form of attraction/entertainment, and get back into Canada about 11 PM on Sunday night. Could also go on Friday, and make it a two nighter. Any reccomendations?

Thanks in advance.

Go to Muckleshoot, its a better Casino and maybe stay in downtown Seattle. There are a lot of things to do in Seattle, as well as many excellent restraunts.

Muckleshoot is in Auburn and while Auburn blows its better than North Snohomish County. What kind of entertainment did you have in mind?

Cool, that is the kind of advice I am looking for. Entertainment would be maybe a jazz club, or a funky part of town to window shop. Perhaps a movie or a show, but more likely something interactive, like a club.

The Fremont neighborhood is good for funky shopping and has some night life too.

Belltown (within downtown Seattle) has a lot of great restaurants.

Pioneer Square (also downtown) has frat-like bars; while Capitol Hill has a more eclectic club scene.

West Seattle is gorgeous if it's sunny... there's a strand of beach with some nice shops and restaurants.

down by the waterfront, there are some fun bars, Belltown as well. There is a Jazz club down there, although I am not sure what its called. Also, there are two huge movie theathers in downtown Seattle. I would probably hit up the northern end of downtown Seattle if I were you guys, like around belltown, or Queen Anne hill.

pike place market is always good, i'd reccomend eating fish on the waterfront, and at the metropolatin grill downtown.

muckleshoot is a little better, but tulalip is non-smoking which IMO is a HUGE advantage.
