View Full Version : A College Hoop Pick
Wake up CALL

First off let me state that I specialize in prop bets, totals and little known College teams. Perhaps little known is less accurate than in those teams not followed closely my the betting public in general. I will make several plays within the Ivy League ranks in hoops as well as football.
With that I will rarely offer many if any reasons as to why I make a specific bet since it is all number crunching and generally ignores players and coaches unless the rare key player is injured or benched for discipline.
AustinPeay -1.5 is my play for today. If you need reasons for any of my picks please don't ask, just ignore them. However I will encourage discourse if you have a strong opinion as to why I might be making a mistake or when in the rare case you do believe I am right. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm on Georgia +21 against FL.
No analysis, got it from one of those handicap sites.
What can I say, I'm a sucker /images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I'll bite - good luck to both of us!
holy crap, Peay 79-77 in OT tonight, coming back from double digit deficit in 2nd half to force OT and win it - probably not what your super duper top secret inspector gadget formula drew up, but a win for the both of us nonetheless...good stuff and thanks /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah we stole that one from the cookie jar. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I expected them to win nicely, certainly not in OT. Well, a win is a win.
Would appreciate if you would post your Ivy League picks. I wager on Ivy League basketball too. For example, I took Columbia getting 2 1/2 at Cornell last week. I think they could have gotten 32 1/2 and it wouldn't have mattered. So I would welcome another opinion.

Tonight, one play take W&M -2 vs Towson St.
On a purely personal note I like the money line on Missouri at +125 vs Colorado.

Heh Heh, this one wasn't as close, easy win. Piece of cake! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Cool, I jumped on W&M but got it at 2.5 late, was worried about that extra 1/2 pt /images/graemlins/crazy.gif ...good pick!

It appears the Austin Peay -1 vs Tennesee St. is the play for today. I would try to get this ASAP at the -1. Good luck to all.
I am also taking a hard look at TU -2 vs San Jose St. If it becomes a play I will add it to this thread later today.
I'm in with you on Austin Peay - hope your streak continues!

One play today, Canisius +11.5 vs Fairfield. It is not inconceivable that they win this game outright so I am also placing a very small bet on Canisius +600.
I looked at the Princeton/Brown and Penn/Yale games. Although I believe the favorites will cover in both those games neither meets my criteria to name them as plays.
Good luck to all.
i'm with you again on this one, GO GRIFFS!
I got this one earlier after seeing someone who mentioned it on another forum. Also have the Marist ML.

In case anyone took a flyer on Princeton at -11.5 it is now up to -13.5 with most of the cash on the Fav. The -11.5 is looking mighty sweet about now. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I put Princeton in a small parlay with a few other teams at -12.5

their wad in the first, no coming back from the hole they dug themselves.
Sorry about this one guys.
It's all good - I was out at dinner with my fiancee and I checked the score on my phone, Canisius had 11 and Fairfield had 20 or so - I checked again 20 minutes later, Canisius STILL had 11, this time Fairfield had about 40 - DOH!!
Can't win 'em all, wont be around to grab your pick tomorrow (unless it's posted before 11am or so), but good luck tomorrow anyway, I'll still ride your picks for a bit and hope for the best (by my calculations 3-1 still makes us both winners so far /images/graemlins/crazy.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif)
P.S. I'm glad my Princeton pick was in the small parlay with Canisius too, Princeton lost a very RARE ivy league opener to Brown tonight

William & Mary getting 16.5 from George Mason??? How bad does the public think W$M is? Anyway take W&M and the +16.5, my 2nd play today is to take Marquette vs St Louis at pickem.
I also like the total going over 154 in the USC/UCLA game later this afternoon.
Three plays today, good luck to all.
