do players get to choose whether they play on day 1a, 1b or 1c?

i am considering entering, but don't really want to play on wed (day 1a), then have to sit around til saturday.

anybody know how this is determined?

1) I think its an advantage playing on day 1a, because u are more rested for the other days.
2) I think is just random.

I would just call up the Rio, and ask to talk to someone about the WSOP. I have done this twice, and spoken with someone both times, who answered all questions I had.

i see your point about being rested. but i am the definition of dead money. i want to play in it just once to say that i've done it. so i don't really want to be out there (away from family) any longer than i have to be.

phone number for rio?

Is it really worth $10K to say you played in a tournment?

I would play to win/ place high.

Just go all-in preflop with every hand until you bust out in that case. If you get lucky, you can get on TV by being the first to bust out.

I wish I had 10k to throw away...Must be nice being rich.

Reminds me of a line in my favorite show:

You don't get to choose your starting day, it's all random. But I wish. Last year 9 of the 10 final tablers played on Day One (Dan Harrington was the exception).
