You need to edit this. I put spoons and forks handle down, and knives handle up (blade down).

Why? I put everything handle down. Except for things with very thin handles because they'll slip between the holes in the silverware holder.

I assume it has something to do with not slicing your hand open when you reach in to grab the silverware to put it away. I do the same thing.
