View Full Version : What do "purple blocked-out" posts in one's history mean?

I saw them on Ray Zee's and Fossilman's history, so I assumed they were for poobah's or vip's, but then I saw them in siriusradio's posts, and I know from reading just a couple that he is neither of those.
Example: Example! (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/dosearch.php?Cat=&Forum=All_Forums&Name=20583&Sear chpage=0&Limit=25&)
I am very curious.

Definitely. I see plenty of people who don't have a 'banner' loading over their post histories.

One you get more than 5k post, those become visible to you.

What? I doubt it...someone must have knowledge of this considering the copious amount of useless information swapped every minute on OOT!

So why does siriusradio have them?
daryn

i suspect they are the remnants of deleted posts, or posts before the archiving process.

You might be right. It does look like some kind of DB corruption.
We see: <{a} href="http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/postlist.php?Cat=&Board="{}>
In the source for these lines. Notice that there's no board name, user name, etc for the purple entries.
