With a couple sites has or had cash out problems, how much do you trust any online poker sites. I'm curious to see how much money do people actually put in a site on average. This is just a survey and no one has to use their real name so no one will be robbed going in or out from their virtual casino cashier. ;-)

There is no compelling evidence that suggests you should trust any online poker site. To my knowledge every one of them is outside US or European law. This means you have little or zero recourse except through the credit card companies, and that loophole is closing quickly.

Play in real life, it's more fun.

Every site Ive played, I trust...Paradise,Pokerroom,Truepoker,Ultimatebet,A mericascardroom, and Pokerstars.I have received chqs from every site. However some cashouts take longer than others, but that doesnt bother me any.

I have had $ on at least seven different online sites. Anywhere from a couple hundred to several thousand dollars. With my Paypal money, I usually have about 7-8 thousand floating around. My rule of thumb is to never leave more money on a poker site than I'd be willing to hand to a bailbondsman if my least favorite uncle needed it to get out of jail.

We all take risks when we play cards; In more than forty years of B&M cardrooms or online playing, I've yet to experience a totally safe environment. Take no risk that makes you too uncomfortable.

I keep enough money on deposit for one terrible session of poker at a few sites. At PartyPoker, I have enough money on deposit for several awful poker sessions because I like their 10% interest promotion (and the short-handed games I like to play there tend to be relatively high in variance). This does make me a little nervous, however. I sort of consider the risk/reward ratio to be similar to a junk bond investment. I'd be interested in other opinions about the risk of keeping a significant sum on deposit at PartyPoker.

I like this analogy except that in the bond market there is almost always a market, some fraction of your original investment is liquid. In online poker your bankroll trades at 100% or 0%.

I also liked the 10% interest thing. But after a couple of sessions I didn't like it anymore. I had my 2 worst sessions ever there. I only played a few full ringgames sessions there and I have logged a lot of full ringgame sessions at other sites (over 1700h online). But those at party were the worst. What are the odds. I don't know what was wrong but I'll keep out of party for a while. It could be bad luck or collusion or the best players ever seen. Beats me. Too bad because I really liked their site and I hope they grow. But I'm off for a while since I'm a long time winner at other sites. No need to be stubborn and stay when things are not going your way. This is not a conspiracy thing. I'm aware I could have hit 1 of my worst short term streaks ever. They occur to us all and It could happen anywhere. Playing in my kitchen with my friends...lol. But I just like to change position when I'm running bad.
