Ronnie James Dio popularized the "devil horn" symbol in the 80s. It was not originally meant to be devil horns, but a horseshoe. His italian grandmother used to use the horseshoe hand signal as a good luck (http://www.themystica.com/mystica/articles/h/horseshoe.html) gesture (the horseshoe turned upwards catches luck which you can then point towards someone to pass on). Ronnie James used this gesture on stage and naturally a bunch of Christian busybodies (having already solved the rest of the world's problems) decided to wage a campain against Dio and his "devil horns."

LOL, its Bush, he dosen't know what he's doing, I don't like the guy but I don't think he's in bed with the devil, nor do I believe in the devil. If you want i'll go into more but for now i'll just say that image you and most others have of the devil is false and was created by the church to look much like the god of fertility of a pagan group. And no pagan does not mean devil worshipers, it simply means worshiping nature and such things.
