Suppose that you have the ability to cheat and see the bottom card on the deck after every deal. How much do you think it would help you?

It would clearly help, but only on a minor scale in most cases.

I think it is a HUGE advantage.

When it helps you it helps you ALOT.

Like every time the card you see is involved with your hand or with the board if you are playing holdem or with one of your opponents hands if you are playing stud.

-you have a pocket pair and notice that one of your denominations is at the bottom.

-you have a gutshot and are just barely getting odds for a 4 outer, but fold b/c you know that you in fact only have 3 outs.

-the board is paired and your opponent has played it just like he has trips.. but you know that one of the trip cards were on the bottom- making it much less likely. Or, you have trips, but no kicker and now know to reraise.

etc..

Say you hold a pocket pair (7s) and you limp in MP, button raises, bottom exposed card is a 7, I would fold here.

Why even limp?

Oh right, the exposed information is available preflop too... ok, cancel that limp.

id would help a ton if you were dealt a pair and you saw the bottom card on the deck was one of your cards.

How frequently would these situations arise?

Plenty

If you could toss your hand once every hundred on the turn that's one BB/100. And if you pull in a pot once every six or seven hundred hands because you saw the bottom card thats another BB/100.

Would you like to add 2 bb/100 to your win rate?

I'm going to say very little. 1 in 52 kind of little. OD course there will be certain situations that come up when it's good to know this, but we're not talking very often here. There has to be a certain card that you're wondering if it's out or not, and it has to be that particular card.

If there's a 3 flush on the board of spades on the board, and see you see a big spade on the bottom a bluff would be more effective knowing that its impossible to have the nut flush.
