My friends and I usually get music from each other, and everyone seems to have a different way to name their files. It's really annoying to change everything each time, but everyone thinks their way is right.

I say the only way is
Artist - CD Name - Track# - Track Name.mp3

Also, each artist has their own folder, and each CD has it's own sub-folder.

I only do that for full albums, otherwise it's just Name - Song.mp3

Yeah, almost everything I have is a full album. For random songs, Artist - Title would work just fine, but I hate when I get some cd from my friend and it's like

01_jimmy_eat_world_-_hear_you_me_rjs.mp3

In stacks. Heavy rotation stuff is always naturally near the top.

for non full albums: Artist - Track Name
there r id tags for all the other album and track# info

for full albums: each album has its own folder, then its track# - track name

Artist --> Album ---> Track # ---> Track Name.mp3.

Only way to go.

That's why you get a program like Tag & Rename (http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm).

I know this is slightly off tangent, but mp3gain (http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/) is a great program for normalizing mp3s.
