I got a $100 coupon when I bought my new laptop (Vaio S270) so I bought a digital camera. Sony DSC-L1. Cheap, small.

Anyway, I just snapped a couple of shots out my window and then one of me chillin' in my room. Thought I'd share. Nothing special about these pics. Once I figure out how to use this camera, I'll take some good ones.

I like that neighborhood. I like the places in South Park and breakfast at Lands End. And it looks like you're a quick walk to Reds.

Last time I was out there I was shocked at how much had developed around the ballpark. I hope Pepitos doesn't get driven out.

EDIT: I am retarded. It's Town's End, not a mail order catalog.

When younger I was into photography. Took classes etc and development my own black and whites. We used Kodak Tri-x (I still have a classic black and silver Nikon FE2) Anyway, I saw some photo geeks using this software - it is quite good and you can do some amazing things with it. photo shop (http://www.edirectsoftware.com/default/PhotoshopCS-B.html)

I was going to purchase this and other stuff to ditize the 100's of slides I have but haven't gotten around to it. Anyway, there may be even better software out than this version. Have fun with the new toy.

grab a copy of the new release of picasa. free, google owned currently, good stuff. is an organizational/albums tool that also does some lightweight editing.

have fun, i have been having a great time with my sony w1.

edit: and damn Hangar One doesn't distribute their raspberry vodka to the midwest. looks like i'll either have to go mail order or move.

I don't think so, pic seems to be taken with a different cam. Looks like a pc cam.

Yeah, poorly executed. Pic is different size, not nearly as sharp, and not the same type of file name. This could all have been fixed before posting. I wouldn't have believed he has a room like that though.

He still had me for like 10 seconds. Got me thinking of Sklansky and how Diablo was in his top 20, then got me thinking about the movie Finding Forester. Heh.

Those white buildings in the background look familiar.

Diablo is a short Mexican or South American dude, could be Filipino, but I would say more likely latin.

He likes to have huddles with Gift of Gab discussing no limit hands after they occur.

Tron

He's supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody ever believed he was real...

I am across the street from the Java House on Pier 40. Red's Java House is a few blocks down at Pier 30 or so. Java House, Town's End, and Crossroads Cafe are where I eat brunch on weekends. Pepito's sold their business and is now called Mexico au Parc or something. Identical and still independently/locally owned, except that they don't fold the burritos quite as expertly.

I lived in SF when that building went up... I think the 1 bedrooms (<1000 sq ft) were going for $800k-ish maybe $875k... That area was part of the bubble during the dot com/ballpark opening days... probably has appreciated somewhat anyway because after pausing, everything in SF real estate has gone up, even off the inflated dot.com levels...

close to freeway so what, 15 mins to Lucky Chances??? 15 mins to Oaks??
