View Full Version : What to do when you're card dry...

7/8 last OTM, simply because I'm card dry. I got a few small PPs, 2-3 KQs, an AJ and a few AT. I usually use stealing to build a decent stack on/to the bubble, but seem to be running up against big cards. Argh, I guess the solution is to play through, because patches like this will happen alot?

I guess the other thing is these games have stayed 7-8 handed well into the game, and I always seem to have a maniac on my right who ruins many good steal opportunities.

7 out of 8 OTM is not even close to a major losing streak. That said, the only solution I've found to a dry spell is to get majorly tight until you're down to 5-6 players. No steals, no bluffing, very little limping. Get a very tight table rep. Then use superior skill to try and squeak into the money.

Disregard this post, I read it and it sounds like a rant.

I'm not worried about the OTM trend, I know it's nothing. I guess I was a little frustrated that I couldn't build stacks with hands, and stealing wasn't working nearly as much as normal since I kept coming up against strong hands.

Can't hide forever.

Silly thread, wouldn't it be nice to be able to delete your posts?
