The Sunday Mirror quoutes Lewis as saying that he is getting back into training, because he has been offered £21 million for a fight (presumably with V. Klitschko). What do you think?
I think it is a shame how great fighters always go out too late. Lewis was on course to become only the third heavyweight in history to retire as champion and now risks that legacy.
People could see this as a noe lose situation. If he comes back and loses then he was old and past his best. But if he comes back and wins, then wow! Even at 39 and with two years out of the ring this guy is the best. A convincing victory would move him into the Top 5 of all time.
This will definitely make the boxing world more interesting. And a prime Lewis is so superior to V.K. that he has a decent chance to win. But I think most likely is that the final images of Lewis in the ring are of a once great man getting pummelled by a vastly inferior fighter.
