View Full Version : Rakes -- who's got the best?

I have been playing very low limit online for the last few months (as my wife won't let me play higher /images/smile.gif I have mainly played at Paradise and a little at PokerStars, but am now checking out other sites. Here are the rakes as they stand, and I was wondering if a good math man can tell me about how much the difference is between them in the long run.

Paradise rakes .50/1.00 & 1.00/2.00 games @ .25 every $5 with a $1 max.

PokerStars rakes the same.

PartyPoker (which I think has the worst) rakes .50 max, but @ $5.00

On .50/1.00 they rake @ .50 @ 5.00 & then $1 max @ $20.

TruePoker rakes 1/2 games @ $1 flat @ $12 -- and there software is very nice.

Can anyone tell me the best rake in the long run for a good player?

Thanks!

If you are a good player you can beat Paradise & PokerStars rake, but it is tough.

It would be very difficult to beat TruePoker's rake and impossible to beat PartyPoker's.

The Paradise/PokerStars rake is the most reasonable. The Party Poker rake is the worst for 1-2 and lower. However, Party provides 10% annual interest on your deposited money (paid monthly) and their rake structure for 3-6 and higher is more in line with the competition.

PartyPokers rake may be high for micro limits,

but I believe they are the same as

paradise for $2-4 on up..

Stay away from Ultimate Bet unless you play 5/10

or higher. At .50 per $10.00 at the 3/6 level,

this is a house game (They actually lowered their rake Jan 1st..It used to be .05 cents per $1.00 in the pot..unreal)

Why so many sites don't even bother to match

Paradise's rake, is beyond my belief.
