I'm desperate to get some live tourney experience, and it's difficult to do here at home. So I'm considering a trip to Vegas just to play tournaments. Is there a regular schedule of Vegas tournies in a reasonable buy-in range?

Any Vegas regulars willing to give me a posssible list of events?

David,
This is what I have found, as I am heading out there this Wednesday before making it to Tahoe for the weekend.

11:00 am Nugget - 55 + 40 AO + 40 RB
12:00 pm Orleanse - 60+40 dollar which I hear is a fantastic tourney. Im doing this over the bellagio
1:00 pm - bellagio - 540
2:00 pm - Binons 60+10+40
4:00 pm - plaza - 50+50 hear its a good blind structure there as well
7:00 pm - nugget - 125+100+100 - Hear its a good one and will be in this one as well, if I am done with the first one
7:00 pm - saharah - 40+20 180+ people in it from another post. 11 paid, so good money if you make it far enough
8:00 pm - plaza 50+50 - same as the 4 pm
8:00 pm - binons 60+10+40
11:59 pm - plaza again 50+50. My last one of the night and plan on even staying here!!!

Hope this helps... I will be doing a complete trip report on the ones I am able to make.

DR:

I know of about a dozen rebuy/addon tournaments in Toronto/Woodbridge/Thornhill that run at least bi-weekly at nights with buyins ranging from $100 to $300.

PM me if interested.

The Plaza tourney starts with 1500 chips with the blinds at 25/50 with one rebuy or add-on you can take at any time. Blinds go up every 20 minutes I think.

Anyway, the structure is pretty good. They usually run between 35-50 for each one. 4 daily at 12,4,8, and Midnite.

....and they're winnable!

Sorry, I was there for the Saturday 8pm one on the 8th of January. I wound up chopping for 1st for $1,000 - netting about $900 or so. They take about four hours, and the interesting thing was that some of the people on the final table for the 4pm one were in the 8pm tourney, but were getting blinded away because they were still playing about half an hour or so into the next tournament.

Good structure, and you get breaks too!

There is a time limit for the rebuy and add-on - timed with the first break.
