Not sure the exact line, but who said?...
"I'd bust my own Grandmother if she sat down at the table with me"

I've heard it from a couple players. I know Doyle has said something about having "gator blood" and a player needs it to be a champion and you try to bust your best friend or your grandmother.
I'm also pretty sure the closest quote to what you ask is from Amarillo Slim.

This is a fairly common phrase among competitive gamblers. Robert Byrne quotes Danny McGoorty, a pool hustler and billiardist from the 20's - 50's, as saying virtually the same thing.

In The Biggest Game in Town, A. Alvarez attributes this line to Jack Straus.

And here's what David Sklansky says in TOP.....
"Jack Straus, 1982 poker champion, has said he'd bust his own grandmother if she was in a pot with him, which is pretty much the only attitude a serious poker player can have when he or she sits down behind a stack of chips."
Best of Luck

Thanks Howard and others, it was in TOP (pg. 5). I was pretty sure I read it somewhere, and wasn't about to look through 20 or so books trying to find it. Thanks for the help, greatly appreciated.
