Maybe the same reason that John Feeney's name isn't in red.

He is actually just a composite figure of a theoretical poker expert, created by Dave and Mason so they do not have to admit to slumming at low limits occasionally.

The tip off is the name = Ed Miller, just a step less obscure than calling him John Smith.
