Yeah, but that could only happen once, maybe twice. If you were an elephant toilet cleaner you'd have to do that day after day.

This elephant trainer has it worse than the one above.

Nurses earn every damn dollar they make

When you consider their diet consists of mainly plant material, elephant [censored] ain't that bad compared to human or dog [censored]. The only bad part about it is the quantity. But pound for pound, I would take shoveling elephant [censored] over some human or carnivores [censored].

Elephant $hit is actually very clean. As someone else pointed out, they only eat plants. I remember watching one of those nature shows on PBS or Discovery channel, and some lady picked up a fresh turd and said "look how clean thier dung is! I can pick it up with my bare hand."

It would still be a $hit job to have, but there's worse.

I've had worse jobs than the Elephant [censored] job. I'd much rather shovel Elephant [censored] all day then go back to the paint stripping factory (It's 112 degrees Fahrenheit, and there's toxic paint fumes in the air and lots of heavy lifting, I spent 3 hours there until I passed out from the fumes and heat exhaustion, when I went to the bathroom to splash water on my face, my shirt and pants were so drenched in sweat that it looked like I just got out of a pool.) The plastic recycling plant sucks too. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Here's an article on dirty jobs.

http://radar.smh.com.au/archives/2004/08/its_a_dirty_job.html

Some quotes:

"Dirty and smelly? Bring it on, says biologist Barbara Triggs. As a scat (faeces) analyst and author of books on the topic, the 72-year-old receives thousands of samples of animal droppings in the mail each year.

"It comes in Postpak boxes or envelopes," Triggs says. "Hopefully, it's sealed, although sometimes it isn't. When it's not, the Post Office complains bitterly."

Then, of course, there's the pet food taster.

"If you're telling people the pet food you produce only contains chicken and rice, what's wrong with proving it by eating it yourself?" asks a pet food company staffer who, perhaps understandably, preferred not to be named for this feature. "Even our company director has eaten our pet food."

Sounds like a fun company picnic.
