If I worked at McDonalds I'd rip em off when the Monopoly game came around! Plus, I'd sell fries out of the back for really cheap. I'm sure that would add up to $9/hr. Seems like a rather drastic decrease in my income though...

I think this was the best part of the whole thread. Lawrence's stated win rate would put him in a 30-60 game, probably, and the guy mis-reads it and puts him squarely in a 3-6 game. Then he goes and says that pros have to play games where 100K is in action. At least the other respondants admitted that they don't know wtf they're talking about. Maybe the resident gambling expert got his hackles up because a new big dog hit town.

You need to start dropping "Tilt" lines in there. Stuff about wiping your ass with 9K if you had chili, etc. And you need to create a really horrible signature line.

I love how many QLCers are experts because they have a relative who plays a little poker. But they're not being too hard on Lawrence. Too passive-aggressive for that.

Sleepyguy needs to let the world know what kind of car he bought, too, just so everyone can be envious.

my father had a gambling problem not too long ago. He would often talk of "wanting to be a professional gambler." Often, he'd have good days where he'd win lots of money. Other days, he'd lose lots of money. Overall, his losses greatly outweighed his wins, and it was a lifestyle that significantly harmed him financially; he was gambling with and losing money that no middle class professional should ever have been gambling and losing. He declared bankruptcy a little over a year ago.

So that's where all the money in the Party 15 comes from...

That's great! I'm thinking it would be realy realy cruel for someone who establishes themselves as a winning poker player there to play up how helmuth's book is the best there is, though that may cast the Dude's nick into suspicion.
