Ok, I put "unimproved" in quotations because I have top kicker for a pair of twos. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I wanted him to fold another AK here.

Check-calling seems weak, but I imagine it can often be the best play against an aggressive player by inducing bluffs from busted draws or a hand like AQ here. Against weak players, betting is probably best because they may decide to fold a hand that beats your own.

Is my reasoning basically solid?

PS -- If the turn card hadn't helped me, I'd still be betting against just about any opponent.
