the other thread was mostly about level 1, which is all weird because it's 10/15.

what do you complete with at 15/30, assuming a normal stack size?

54o?
73s?
A4o?
K8o?

am i being too loose to even consider these?

I'm a bit tighter at level 2 in the small blind, but will still take some chances. I'd probably play K8o and A4o for 1/2 a bet (unless the player in the big blind has been raising alot), but not 54 or 73 (suited or not).

I'd be playing A4 for 2 pair or a straight. If the flop came something like A 9 7 and someone else seemed happy about that, I'd fold.

Fold all of the above, except the Ace if it is folded all the way around to you.

FWIW, I'm only calling w/ A4o. I don't want to get involved with these other hands b/c invariably they turn into trouble. And if you're calling from the SB in Level 2 then typically it is a family pot w/ 3 or 4 other players seeing the flop.

If there are a LOT of limpers (I mean all but one or two players) I might play the 54o on very odd occasions.

I might also play the A4 from time to time.

Any unsuited connector or suited one-gapper works for me if I have a "normal" stack in the early stages.

If I'm a little below normal, I drop hands starting at the bottom (32o, 42s, and so on) until I eventually have to drop all drawing hands because my implied odds are gone.

Straights and sets are your double-up tickets when the stacks are still relatively deep so I'm always looking for a cheap shot at catching either one.
