well, i am not a big fan of just calling before the flop. by just calling you opened yourself up to this situation on the flop.

Read on MP2?

It's a bad habit of mine, but I usually watch TV and two-table, so I almost never have a read on anyone. I guess I'm too lazy.

Not to say I am right or wrong with this move, but some good players sometimes just call and sometimes raise with QQ.

Against a tight player who would only raise preflop with JJ or better, odds are you have the worst hand, and you could argue folding QQ.

I think you played it well and that it was standard.

you don't know if mp2 has a monster hand or if he is just reraising because UTG minraised. thats the only problem here but I don't have a solution for it.

the call preflop is good because if you reraised preflop to 25, you face a tough decision if Mp2 decides to get frisky and pushes.

I used to reraise with QQ but after a very long and extended debate with JohnG a while ago on these boards, I've started smoothcalling with them more.

Besides, with the money already in the pot and the stack size, you have odds to draw a set.

When the K flopped and he kept up aggression, its time to fold. he doesn't have JJ often enough for a raise or a call to be profitable.
