Should I be value betting this? I'm just asking for him to take it away from me right?

I would bet the turn. If he had an overpair he would certainly bet the flop.

I would sometimes bet the turn, and sometimes play it like you did.

After all, if you are ahead he just has overcards, and I reckon you would probably make more money by check-calling a bluff than by betting out and him calling with just overcards. The risk is letting him catch up.

I'd think on the turn he'd bet at it. If he did put in a 3/4 pot size bet should I call it?
