So I just got a new Gateway PC a month or so ago. Works great, I'm happy. But for some reason, ever since I got it, I go to delete or move a file, and it deletes/moves, but doesn't appear that way. You have to leave the folder and return for it to appear. This just pisses me off.

I'm running XP home, I have Anti-Virus software and I don't do anything sketchier than download songs off WinMX. I think it's been doing this all along. Why?

Posted something to the MS newsgroups but they never respond.

Thanks,
NT

what happens if you hit f-5? This should refresh the folder.

I'll look a little deeper when I get caught up.

I know what you mean, and I had this problem on my work machine for a couple of weeks. But I did the F5 thing, and then after a while the problem went away by itself.

Windows Explorer is retarded, sorry. It's obviously supposed to update, but other than being buggy, i'm not sure what why it would fail to update without a manual refresh.
