I have 500 chips in first position and am dealt 88. What's my move?

Gotta push IMO. Your likely a coinflip here if called (possibly worse), but at 5xbb with the blinds comin up, I don't think you have much time to wait for a better hand. Basically your last chance before you have little to no fold equity left.

Yep, easy push. If you don't push here, you'll have to double up just to get back to 700 chips again. You more than likely have the best hand here too.

I think you have to push this. Even assuming that blinds will be 50/100 the next 2 hands while you are in the blinds, you still have enough FE this hand where people can fold, as well as a decent hand. If you wait a couple of hands to do this, you may not get the cards, you may get called on a steal easier, or your double up won't be significant enough to matter.

Given it's 7 handed, someone might have a higher pair, but that's a risk you've got to take given that the blinds are coming your way.

push or fold still...call is weak, and you don't want multi-way action with 88, and you are going to throw in 3/8-1/2 your stack making a standard raise anyway.


what happens if you make it 300 and someone comes over the top all in for like (500-800), you are prolly going to call, so I say be the aggressor.
