Hand is pretty straight forward until the river. I raise the turn to make the flush draws pay.

What is up with the huge overbet when the board pairs? Not too many hands on the guy but he seems semi-loose passive. Because of that I would think he most likely made something: A boat with KQ, TT or 55, or he also has the straight, or he made trips/two pair. Since he hadn't been agressive at all I would lean more towards the first two scenarios. I used all my time but folded. This seem standard or would anybody call this. Seems like a bad call to me since it is like 1.2 to 1. Just want to hear others thoughts.

This is a very tricky way to play by the villain.

his minbets on the flop and the turn could mean he has a set and is slowplaying, or it could mean he holds something like AQ and really feels weak.

If he is any decent though, I don't think he calls your $5 raise on the turn with AQ.

Also, there might have been some preflop action had he held AQ, so thats not a big possibility.

Its also possible he has J9. although, I really don't see somebody leading out for .50 on the flop with J9.

I think its good fold on the river.
