Scenario: On MLK day I went over to Cache Creek Indian Casino in Norther Cali, recently made into a resort. I was hoping for people on vacation ready to burn some money at NL, but found there to be only ONE NL table ($100 buyin, no more no less that $100!). However, from the time when I got there to the time I sat down (about 1 1/2 hrs) the SAME EIGHT out of nine players were still sitting there. Rock garden?

Ok so I have been playing fairly tight since there was no $12/hr sitting fee my local card house charged at NL (Lucky Chances). I played very few hands and when I did have something I could barely get paid. I spotted a very young girl who was limping in nearly every hand from any position and I saw her take down pots w/ J5o and the like; however she folded to extreme bets. She was the big stack at the table w/ approximately $320. I have about $130.

My image is EXTREMELY tight. I've been talking a lot, but having others at the table tell me "Hey man just play a hand." So I believe I can bluff and I'm ready.....

I'm the BB and see her limp in MP along w/ another loose goose. I decide to bump this one up to TRY to take it down on the flop if the board is absent an Ace. I look down to see a monster: 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 3 /images/graemlins/heart.gif!! I make it $25 to go. It is folded to her and she hesitantly calls, the loose goose after her folds w/ a VERY disgusted look on his face.

Flop comes down T /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. Damn this is scary. I test the waters w/ a bet of $35. She thinks for a short time, lowers her eyebrows, and CALLS. At this point, I'm thinking does she have a set, TPTK, or the lone A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif or K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif?

The next card that comes off is what I was "hoping" for: a brick to the flush draw, the 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. I, again representing a monster, wave my hands and say all-in. I go to grab my stacks and place them one-by-one when she calls out STRING BET!! "No I said allin." The dealer tells me that he did NOT hear me say allin and my bet of $10 (the first stack of chips I grabbed) on the turn stands!!! NOOOOOOOOO! Damn I must've been nervous, my voice cracked, DAMN, I argued that I said all-in, but gave it up as I realized I said it, excuse my language, like a little booch. So she says, "Well I gotta call for $10."

Ok so now I'm going to the river looking to be a little nervous and holding cards I usually ninja-star to the dealer. The river comes down 4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. I'm not sure what to do for a second and stare at the board (Dumb move?). I realize at LEAST I have a flush. I look at her w/ a very aggrivated look and say CHECK. She then abruptly looks at her chips and bets out $30.

Now I have $60 left. First thought that goes through my head is that she caught her flush. Then I think if she had the A or K of diamonds she would not be dumb enough to just bet $30, that she'd put me in for my last $60 being very confident she had the nuts or near-nuts. So that leaves me w/ thinking the 9, J, or Q of diamonds that she could reasonably have. Also, only THIRTY on the river? $54PF, $124 on flop, $144 on turn, she's laying me nearly 6:1 on this river call? I think about it for a while, decide to call, though I will be a little embarrassed to flip em, and ask her if she has a diamond?............... The final pot is $204 and I take it down!!! She flips over a black A and T.

Comment PLEASE!!!!
