YTD units corrected to -0.13. I forgot the odds on two winners last week.

I took Mickelson at +1800. Isn't this his home course?

+1800 is a great price for Lefty in this event. He has won it three times. Where did you get that line? He was +1060 at my book.

Nice price. I'm in on Phil at 11:1. I'll be back with some more picks later.

I'm just looking at some other prop bets that SportsInteraction has up here. A couple of the interesting ones I might take:

Mickleson to finish in the top 16 -110
Sergio to finish in the top 23 -110
Possibly Mickelson to win it all (currently 8-1, but I see there are better lines out there)

Is it just me or does the Mickelson to finish in the top 16 bet seem like easy money? Unless he broke his leg snowboarding again or something and he's hobbling around on crutches.

The only concern I have (and why I figured he was 18-1 on my site) is that this is his first tournament of the year (isn't it?) while the others have one or two weeks of tournament play under their belts. I can't see that being a big deal though.

Yeah it is his first event of the year. I didn't even notice that he didn't play in the Mercedes a couple weeks ago even though he qualified. I started thinking maybe he was hurt or had some kind of minor surgery with a month or two off.

I checked his website just to make sure:
“I love Hawaii,” said Mickelson, who shot 59 at Poipu Bay last month to win the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, “but I feel most obligated to so many West Coast events that it’s best for me to wait until San Diego to begin.”

So I'd say that Philly Mick to come in the top 16 is a good bet. Maybe even to place in the top 4 or win it...he traditionally does very well on all the west coast tournaments.

Phil's record historically in his first event of the year is very impressive. Going back 10 years, he's won his 1st event of the year at least 3 times, and his first mainland event after the Mercedes a couple more times. I wouldn't worry about the rust factor.

He won LA (Mercedes?) after missing the first couple last year.
