Holy [censored]. Are you kidding? The tax rate at my house is 3.7% The cool thing about Colorado too, is that if you buy a car or some big-ticket item that gets delivered to your house, you pay the rate where your house is, not where you buy it. Since I'm in Littleton, but where I'm at is technically unincorporated, my sales tax is quite low. This is nice if you buy something downtown or, in the instance of my car, in CA but take out of state delivery on your way to moving to Denver.

ThaSaltCracka
01-18-2005, 07:04 PM
the Couv still has to deal with a lot of the same non-property taxes that the rest of the state has though. Seriously, trying registering a car in WA and then try registering it in OR. You'll crap your pants.

Nothing against stem cell research. I do have something against paying 43.1% of my income to the gov't quarterly and another 9% of what I have left on anything I want to buy. I'm actually just starting to look at property up in King and Snohomish Counties right now. Might be up there as early as a few months from now.

Being close to my folks isn't really a priority. I'm willing to pay a little more for an area that I enjoy and where I don't have to drive half an hour to do everything I want to do. The outer parts of Woodinville and Redmond seem to have places going for relatively cheap right now that would seem to be worth a lot more in the next 5-10 years, Novelty Hill area being the first example that comes to mind.
