$13 rebuy to some tournament. Seats are $380. Down from 60 or so to 5. Top 4 get seats.

Blinds are so massive it's been a crapshoot for the past 5 minutes. 6000/12000 with a 300 ante.

Button has about 12k. SB has ~40k. UTG has ~50k. UTG+1 has ~30k.

I have 24o in the BB. I have 500 left after posting. SB raises. Do I call? He's raising with any two here so I'm up against a random hand. I'm only ahead of 23o. If I fold here, I'll have a better chance of winning the next hand when I'm in the SB then there's a chance the other short stack could get knocked out.

I called and SB had 84o. MHING /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

I think I would have went with any other two live cards and pushed earlier at UTG or UTG+1. You need to double up to survive another orbit (1xBB!).

I'd play this "Speed Tourney" style, fold 24o and pray that I survive the SB. You at least prolong the inevitable and who knows, you might have gotten a strong enough hand to win back your t500 plus the antes. Then fold every hand until the other shorty gets the BB, then pray again.

The reason why I hadn't pushed before was because that other stupid short stack was supposed to be gone before the blinds got to me but they folded around to him!!!
