Let's say the game means a lot to you and it's in your hometown. How much would you pay for a ticket? (I'm looking for some support here because it seems like I'm about to make a bonehead move).

Here's a seating chart :

http://www.steelers.com/heinzfield/seatingchart/

Give me a price range you'd consider buying a ticket for :

sections 527-518
sections 528-530, 539-541, 515-517, and 506-504 (IE the upper level corners)
sections 531-538 and 514-507 (upper level middle)

There's no use talking about any other sections because I sure as hell can't afford those.

Wow, so you are taking your laptop to the game, because I know you wouldn't miss participating in the OOT live game thread. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm willing to pay up to $600 for a pair of NFC championship game tickets. I'm pretty cheap, though, and am just as happy to watch the game on TV.

why would u want to watch Roethlisburger show why he's a rookie and choke against the Pats. Billy B stopped Peyton easily, Ben will be a cake. The only thing u guys got goin is that its at home.

to answer ur question. no more than 4x face value of tickets

Why pay ungodly amounts of $ to sit in the bitter cold when you own a television?

Well, I bought 2 tickets in section 541 for $450 total. Easily the cheapest I've seen so far. Not exactly prime seating as it's upper deck in the corner on the open end. You can't see the jumbotron but I think I'll be able to live /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's a picture of the angle I'll have :

Not too bad for $225 I'd say?

That's about right. I was about to say that I'd pay about $100-150 per seat for the range of possibilities you were talking about.

if i was a pats fan i might be willing to dish out a couple hundred for some below average seats.

if i was a steelers fan id save my money and watch the game at home.

We shall see...

I don't see a better way of putting my money where my mouth is than actually going to the game.

Probably about $250 for good seats less for the nosebleeds. If you ask me in a few years and the Steelers are in the AFC title game again it'll probably be higher. You can see the game surprisingly well up high in Heinz field.

Where did you get the tix?

ebay... took a long time fishing to get my deal. Now I just have to hope they come through! I'll pay by PayPal though so I'll be able to get my $ back if they don't.

Well, we had a little change in plans. This afternoon I found a new auction and won 2 tickets for $475. They're in section 511 which are still upper-deck but they're pretty close to the middle of the field. Here's an image of the view :

It's a pain in the butt now though that I got to find someone to buy my other tickets. I listed them on ebay for a 3 day auction... I just hope I get my money back!
