Yeah I used to be like that (well, 90% no socks), but then I got new shoes that have some leather on the inside, and so I had to start wearing socks w/ them.

However one day I hope to be rich enough to where I can always wear a new pair of socks. mmmm that will be the day.

I usually wear sandals though.

They do, I guess, and maybe I'm just accustomed to the way that feels, but no socks just rules. Convenience, aesthetics, everything. I don't even wear them on the rare occasion I wear a suit. I think it's some anti-conformity thing. Or maybe I'm just a jackass.

Also, if I wear sneakers, I occasionally wear those little ankle sock things, but rarely.

That's weird that you said that. The other day I got some new white t-shirts and I almost posted something about if you won the lottery, what really trivial thing would you waste money on? I was going to say that I'd never wear the same undershirt or socks twice.

I'm going to go against the grain here.

I go sock-shoe-sock-shoe and I think it's +EV. If there is any sort of liquid on the floor, or other dirt you are far less likely to get your socks wet. Getting your socks wet sucks. If you ever put your shoes on in the garage or outside sock-shoe-sock-shoe is the best way to go. Right now it's better to do that even inside since I put my shoes on near the door and there is a bit of snow coming in on people's shoes.
