I dunno, man. I voted 60, because I had about 60 oz last night and I started to fall asleep.

I think 80-100 is probably my true maximum, but I'd really need to attack the challenge.

well, its always fun to grab two forties each with a friend and just drink and watch cartoons.

Some of the more adventerous drinkers may grab three each and just play it by ear...ie.. passing out and puking.

i drank 3 forties (2 in a speedy power hr and 1 in beer pong) very quickly and got absolutely wrecked.

120 oz pretty damn good

OLD E BABY

I had 2 40oz of old E in my younger days before I realized Old English is the arsehole of beers, and I switched to the much more manly Mad Dog 20/20 /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Me and my old roomate in college did the 40 days to christmas, were for 40 days up to christmas we each had to at least drink one 40oz of beer (most of the time tho it was like at least 2), We kept them all until the challenge was over so our entire dining room (we had no furniture in there) was nothing but a collection of 40oz bottles (some filled with piss, heh, thats a diff story tho)

Anyway, so I've tried every brand of 40 known to man, Old E is definately right there at the bottom

Yeah, but when you're drinking OE, you're not drinking it for the *taste*.

Related question: I was once told that a "Brass Monkey" is when you drink a 40 of OE down to the label, then mix in Orange Juice until the bottle is full again.

True?

Brass Monkey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brass_Monkey)

Malt liquor is f*cking foul. The ONLY reason to drink it is if you REALLY want to be drunk but can't afford anything else. And I mean ANYTHING.

This last summer I stayed up in Mammoth Lakes and partied-a-plenty. We had a game dubbed Edward 40 Hands where we'd duct tape 40's of Old English in both our hands and not be able to take them off till they were both empty. Fun times.

I used to do 3.5 - 4 forties pretty regularly during college. Nothing beats 'em when you have little or no money for going to the bar.

I would buy three OE on the regular freshman year of college, .99 cents a 40. I think I actually finished three maybe 4-5 times out of the dozens of times I purchased this trident of death.

On a second note, around North Carolina you could get this stuff called Country Club Malt Liqour, it came in 40s and as well as in the glass shaped keg jug 100oz-er. I only tried this big rig once and after about 60oz I was down for the count.(I think I may still have the jug back home at my parents, I will have to take a picture next time I go home.)

Last time I saw a game of Edward Forty Hands being played it resulted in a Fred Astair inspired tap-dance off. That trick where you stand on a bench and then tip it over was utilized frequently. Good times.

I had a "40 40's" party. Which was really a bit misleading, since it was a few more than 40. remember the dre/snoop video where the fridge is stacked with fourties? We did that. we never kept food in the fridge, so we just pulled out the racks. To top it off, i also had two cases of beer and a fifth of jack on top of the fridge. Someone took a picture, but i dont think the camera survived. After all, (yes, thats all) of the alcohol had been opened, i started going around pinching peoples fourties that they had put down. Im sure i drank well over 5 that night, in addition to several cans of beer, and some whiskey shots. The best was going to the liquor store and telling them i needed all of their fourties. they laughed. i didnt. then they looked scared. Also, that night i turned my basement into a dancefloor, with lights etc etc etc. Im pretty sure i saw a stip dance that night. but it may have been another.

Ahhhh.....Old English.

I don't know if this counts, as it wasn't 40oz incriments, but when the Plaid by my parents' house was selling 22oz Old English for $.99+dep, I once drank 8 of them. I averaged 4-6/night at the time.

Brass Monkey is right up there with sliced bread and the wheel.

Magnum is the worst malt liquor. Easily. Camo comes in a close second though.

God Bless 40s

Best Malt Liquor: Steel Reserve (I believe it has the highest alcohol content)

Worst Malt Liquor: Hurricane (aka Slurricane)

I have done edward 40 hands, and found it quite easy to do. My record is just under 30 mins, and I didnt even have to pee that bad when I was done. But about 30mins later I was dead trashed! Some of my best nights are drinkin 40s!

pronounced: Foatie, not Forty.

I had to show a picture of steel reserve, for all of you who havent tried it, well now you will know what it looks like at your local corner store.

http://www.40ozmaltliquor.com/steelreservehg.jpg

Also, note it is 8.1% versus a normal 6% of things like OE 800. So if you think you can handle 2-3 40s, try again, with some steel reserve and then see how you fare.

Ok, well Old English is certainly near the top of my 40 list, and 7.5% is probably more than most malt liquors. But seriously SR has got the wallup and the taste. It cant be beat.

Well I started drinking when i was 12, and drank heavily 14-18. The 1990-1995 years were GREAT!!!
My regular rotation of beer back then:

8-Ball (Old English 800)
Colt 45
Micky's
Crazy Horse

Wine and Liquor:
Wild Irish Rose
Mad Dog 20/20
Boones Farm
Maui
Five O'clock Gin
Bacardi

The most OE ive drank in 1 night is 164 ounces i was about 16 at the time. 3 fortys and 2 double dueces.

We mainly drank quarts (32 ouncers)back then because you you could drink more while it was cold that way.

In college I visited my friend in Beaufort, North Carolina and drank two 40s of Olde English in about an hour and was pretty tore up. I guess I'm sort of a lightweight.

I spent the night asleep in a hammock by the ocean. Good times.

EDIT: I can't believe I forgot the "e" at the end of "Olde." It stands for extra classy!

Vodka, rum and oj is like the yuppie version of brass monkey. So all the brokers and suburban types can order something and feel cool.

We coming from the streets yo! THE REAL BRASS MONKEY is a 1/2 pint of cheapo oj in the paper carton and a OE guzzled to 1/4 down the label, pour in the oj, shake gently, enjoy.
