I think I should have folded to his 3bet on the turn.

C/R was a bad idea.

If I take the aggressive preflop stance, I would bet out the flop, call the raise. Then I would check call the turn and probably bet out the river. Either that or check/call again, depending on my read.

C/R is bad precisely because you dont want to be 3bet here.

I'm not sure I understand your line here. Why not bet out on the turn and call down from there? Is it because you're either way ahead or way behind?
