i had a very similar situation as you did last night, except I had 55. do you push there (I did.)?

pushing w 55 here would be a mistake, because the raise is small enough over his initial raise that you're almost surely going to get called. if villain doesn't have a card 5 or lower, you're ~55% to win (and he probably doesn't, if he's stealing), unless he has an overpair, in which case you're in a world of hurt (~20%). if you doubled everybody's stack (but not the blinds), then pushing over the top with 55 might be a good play b/c villain would be forced to fold a hand like QJ.
