Original Crayon Drawing by Pablo Picasso (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?prodid=11033694&whse=&topnav=&cat=491 5&ec=BC-1482&pos=34)

No idea why it's worth 40k.

No way. I can draw way better than that.

It’s all about supply and demand—and whether or not you “get it”.

Picasso originals—even the scribbly one’s—are quite sought-after by collectors wanting something directly created by the master’s own hand. The real crime is what people will pay for a print of this!

In comparison, a recent auction sold Picasso’s “Boy with a pipe” for 93-Million!

I'm actually seen something worse than that by him for like 5k

It was like a music note or something.

He might have just dropped his paint brush on the page and just decided to chuck it, and now its worth way too much money.

I think this is pretty cool, but not 40k cool.

If I was an art collector, I would probably want it though.

This isn't actually really worth anything except to art collectors. When there's only one of something in the whole world, putting a monetary value on it is difficult. I'd rather spend $100 to put a nice colorful picture on my wall than that thing.

It's a PICASSO! of course i'd buy it. 40k sounds a little steep, but if its documented, you know it's not going to depreciate. that's the thing about the works of great popular artists, it's an investment as well as a peice of art, and a pretty safe investment at that.

I think the drawing itself is fantastic too. love the eyes.

I know some private owners own the most finest peices of art.

My question, when they gain ownership... do they have true private ownership, or do they have to sign something from a goverment about treatment of a piece?

Is it feasible that if someday the Mona Lisa was sold from the Louvre, that I could buy it and take a dump on it?
