Should I have tried for a c/r on the flop or turn to protect the hand or is this line good?

I don't raise this UTG but the flop and turn bets are clearly for value.

What bison said, plus who's gonna bet the flop for you? Just bet out like ya' did.

this is a very wrong time to try for a check raise. The pot is tiny. no one will bet and then fold to a raiseon this flop, unless do not have two overs, in which case you would want to call and let them bet again. Check raising to protect a hand like this would be useful in a multi-way pot when you have a good idea that there will be a late position will bet. Check raising in this situation will rarely gain you an extra bet, but will most often result in a missed bet and trapping people in the pot with now possibly profitable draws.
