I am looking for a nice chip (any price range) with no edge spots. Something that looks similar to the palms chips. Any input would be great

The Palms chips are Chipco chips. You can get them custom made with or w/o edge spots. They run around $1 / chip.

If you're talking about Palms casino, they are chipco: http://www.silver-state-treasures.com/lasvegs/palms.htm

What are you talking about?

hi,

those are not chipco, your own link proves it.

they are Bourgogne & Grasset, the company that bought paulson or merged or whatever. They are similar to chipcos, but I actually prefer the BG's to chipcos. They have a rougher texture and just from memory seem a tad bit smaller in diameter but i could be wrong about that. a few different casinos here use them and i like them a lot.

I believe they may be similar to the desert sands nevadda jacks as far as home chips go, but i have never dealt with those in person

edit: apparently some of those pictures of special editions on that page are chipcos, however don't believe i have ever played with a chipco while at teh palms.

Holy crap! You're right! Those other Chipcos on the page threw me off.

The Nevada Jacks chips are indeed a little rougher than chipcos, perhaps it's what you're looking for.

BG chips are actually a tad bigger than 39mm. Actually, most of the table chips at the Palms are BG but with the occasional LE chips made by Chipco in the mix. On the other hand, the LE $10 Elektra chips are made by Paulsons.

The Celebrity Poker Showdown is at the Palms Casino .... and in the credits it says "Poker Chips and Cloth supplied by Paulson Gaming" something or other

I taped an episode this week, and free-framed it when it was a close-up on the chips...and you see the top hat and cane pretty well.

Casinos routinely use chips from different companies for tournament play. The bellagio's tourney chips are bud jones, while the house chips are clay. Turning stone uses cheap plastic faux-clay chips hotstamped TS rather than clay. Binions had paulson chips but used BJ chips for the wsop.

Solid color paulson chips are pretty cheap and, hence, a frequently used option.
