I was just wondering, how bad is the field in this tournament? I mean I placed in 3 satellites this week and I cannot bring myself to play in it. Maybe I'm being a bit tight with my BR, but I cannot see how cutting through 2000 people without getting extremely lucky. I think the money would be better served for the 20k guarantee because I know that I have a pretty good ROI usually. Anyways good luck 2+2, I hope you all cash and one of you wins...

After the first 2 hours the competition is pretty good. The first two hours are soft simply because there are a lot of people who satellited in who have no business in the tourney.

Good tight play can get you pretty far in this tournament. Good play, good cards, and some luck will get you very far. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I played like a horse's ars 2day and am out early.
Started out loosey goosey. Then when I got KK vs AK lost it all. Pushed when 2nd A hit turn as I thought this was a good card. Oh well. Got Party Quarter million going.

I get a nice CDU. I have As2c in the BB. Someone min-raises, so I pay the extra 50 with a 5 way pot. Flop is 35Q all spades. I call a 200 chip bet and we are HU to the turn. Its another spade. Villian bets out 250, I minimum raise him to 500 figuring he'd fold to a bigger raise, and I wanna get chips outta him. He reraises me allin. I double check the board to make sure I have the nuts. I call.

He has KQ neither spades, for a straight draw. MHIG, thanks for the CDU.

My QQ lost all-in preflop early to JJ (he hit a J on the flop). I was down to 400 in chips. Clawed my way back a bit, but then lost and all-in preflop with KhJh to AKo. I hit a J but he made a flush.
