This happened 2 times within about 30 mins. I have AKo and flop TPTK. I bet pot and am reraised. What do they have and this seems to be happening to me alot lately. I've been laying some down but I had no respect for either player. The desire to tap the glass on the second one was hard to resist. Too much Super System??

Comments on my play are welcome. I think its ok?

Here they are:

I think you're too short stacked to fold in both cases and you are ahead quite often. In the first one I would push. A set would be way more likely to smooth call. I think they could easily have pair+flush draw or straight draw+flush draw in both cases which would give you odds to call/push. Also, from EP you can think about check/raising these flops as an alternate line. Sometimes that works better, but these are such short stacks compared to the size of the pot that there isn't too much you can do but call, I dont think.

Hadn't thought about the check raise, I'll have to give it a try. Seeing the same thing 2 times in 30 mins. is probably just a coincidence. Thanks for the check/raise advice.

Shown the flush draw in both cases. WTF is with the reraise.

It's not a terrible play (although the first guy should've gone all in of course, not kept $9 for the turn, WTF?). First of all, maybe you missed the flop. If you had AQ instead of AK, you would've folded for certain, right? Second of all, he had plenty of outs even if you call and now when he hits the set you are set up to call a big bet. It's aggressive for sure, but I don't think it is bad. (Except for that dude who min-raised. I'll never understand that guy.)

Very good perspective...I've been known to bet when whiffing the flop. Seems like they're charging themselves alot for the draw. If I could do math, I could probably figure out how often I have to be bluffing and fold to make that correct.

I would have done the same in both cases, except in the first hand I would have gone all in on the flop after I got raised, although not a huge difference, as he would have odds to call with a flush draw anyway.
