I bought a cd yesterday. Played it a few times, everything is fine.

I bring it to work today, song 7 and the beginning of song 8 skip. On two different cd players. I bring the cd home, it plays through 7 and 8 fine on my stereo. I put it in a headset player, plays 7 and 8 fine.

Does this make any sense?

Alright update. Track 9 which plays fine at work, is now skipping at home. Am I going insane?

Yes, it does. The CD most likely has slight imperfections in it. Depending on the CD players setup, it may or may not detect them. This screws up some players but other players are fine because they can't see them. Other players have software to correct for slight imperfections. Exchange the CD.
