Hey i am working towards the points for SS2 over at doyles room, can anyone give a highlight or a rundown of her limit holdem chapter?

Anything that you found enlightening would help. Thanks.

Sir I think u are bluffing and Im calling u out.

Although the thought Jennifer Harman writing Poker Table erotica is enticing. I have to admit, that would be an intresting table to watch.

Maybe we'd see a lot less All Ins...or would we....and would u still tip the dealer? In fact if u were putting this move on your opponents, would it not be called Tipping, or the Semi-Tip...there could be really no way your opponents would have a chance unless the sucked liked lighting -- or would the Hand Job, snap off the semi-tip?

The psycology is amazing!!! Bring on SS2!!!

i was given the book by one of the writers. overall disappointing. 2 problems for me. the limit section is only 83 pages, therefore, it can not compare to ssh, top, hpfap, etc. second some of the examples used are not correct for most people at lower limits, calling a raise vs 3 others with 66, calling an early raiser with ATs. at the upper limits it is a different game. i was disappointed that her ability at the table did not come through in the chapter. also i know jennifer, and she doesn't really like teaching, so i did not find it surprising that the chaper will not help most players. furthermore, each section in the book is short. while the first SS changed poker with it's aggressive poker, and we all owe a big debt, this is not a book worth your time.

It's kind of like a chapter for novices playing in high stakes games-- obviously a miniscule percentage of readers. However, there are some things you'll get out of it, but clearly not as many as you would from reading SSH, HEFAP, etc.

It is clearly inferior to SSHE.

And it's not even close.

FYI 66 vs a raise with 2 or 3 callers is an easy call

Since you seem to be very knowledgeable about the book, and since I'm begging people for opinions on the O8 section, what are your thoughts on that chapter?

TIA

Of course it is!
You didn't really think anything could ever be as good as SSH, did you!?!? Silly head.

SSHE and SS2's limit holdem section adress different games, therefor the two are't even comparable. A more appropriate post would be it is inferior to hpfap. On a side note, SS2's limit section is decent if you are a winning player who is looking to polish your game a bit. It has a lot of emphasis on making plays based upon your reads of opponents which i found to be enlightening.
