Maybe, but all this craziness causes is huge variance. IMO

these tiny pocket pairs are bad enough. if youre going to spew this many chips with them then you certainly shouldnt be playing them.

You had to have been beat. Sounds like you convinced him you had the best hand though. Those plays are few and far between, you will alway lose more than you make with them. Good luck. /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Your opponent likely had a 10 or a 6 with no pair. I think you overplayed this hand. With all the draws out there, I'd have dropped this puppy on the flop.

Hero's play is disgusting, yes.

And people wonder how these games are so good.

WTF are you doing?

Only Clarkmeister and Mike L. can play like this and get away with it. Clarkmeister would have spiked a 3 on the river to seal the deal. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Sure you did. Your hand won.

If that's your typical game, though, you are a net loser - regardless of your read on BB, btw - at least with small pairs.

believe me i normally fold crabs preflop. i got carried away here, and was pretty surprised that the guy folded on the river.

and yes, the original thread subject was a comment on my own play in this hand. it could have been many other adjectives.

No way, the threes were good. What kind of made hand goes that many bets on the turn and folds to the blankest card in the deck on the river?

And I thought I was too aggressive with garbage!!

The adjective I would have chosen would be 'impressive'.
I'm impressed that not only would someone actually play his 3's this way on this board but that he would actually have the guts to post it.

I'm not exactly god's gift of 15/30 (because I kinda suck) but I strongly recommend toning down the aggression just a smidge.

Wow, 3-betting the turn checkraise. Either I'm too good to make that play, or I'm not good enough not to.
