heres a recent hand i was playing at a $2/$4 ring game on doylesroom. would a checkraise or a bet be most profitable on the river?

Preflop Action:
UTG limps.
gets folded to one off button.
One off button limps.
Button folds.
SB folds.
I raise with [A /images/graemlins/diamond.gifA] in the BB.

Flop Action [6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif].
I bet out, they both call.

Turn Action [6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif] [3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif]
I bet out, they both call.

The River is the [4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif].

I think I'd bet out and hope to get raised.

i agree. Missing a BB on the river would be tragic. My guess is you will get raised by someone with the K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif or Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Bet out and hope to get raised. A lot of people freeze up here and not bet if you check to them. Also, IMO, the more powerful the hand (we are talking near nuts), the better it is to bet and hope to get raised than to c/r. c/r is a strong play but it usually limits you to only two bets because people usually freeze up when they get c/r.
